Social Performance Team

Within the scope of the publication of the SA8000:2014 Standard revision, we have worked to respond better to the new principles of this regulation.

One of the main differences in this new version is the requirement to create a Social Performance Team alongside the Employee Representative, something that was not included in the previous version. This Team shall consist of an equal number of employee representatives and management representatives, and shall monitor the progress and performance of the Social Responsibility system at LIPOR.

The Team

The Social Performance Team (SPT) approved for this certification cycle consists of the following members:

Role and Goals

The Social Performance Team's (EDS) role is to monitor the progress and performance of the Social Responsibility system at LIPOR, namely:
  • monitor the Organization's working areas to ensure compliance with the principles and requirements of the SA8000 standard;
  • propose, discuss and assess measures to minimize and remedy situations that may give rise to non-compliances set forth by the SA8000 standard;
  • collaborate in internal and external audits, providing information and encouraging networking with employees;
  • prepare reports for Management with the results of the analysis for the performance that are carried out throughout the year;
  • perform a regular Risk Analysis in order to establish and prioritize the most sensitive areas and the Social Responsibility operation areas. This analysis shall be carried out taking into account the consultation with the main stakeholders;
  • hold regular meetings to critically analyze the Social Responsibility Management System and identify potential actions to strengthen the Standard's implementation.
