Casa do Corim celebrates another Open Doors Day!

On March 8th, Casa do Corim again opened its doors for another Open Day, an event that celebrates culture, art, sustainability and community connection. The gathering welcomed more than 160 visitors and featured a diverse program!

The initiative aims to bring the public closer to the cultural and environmental projects promoted by LIPOR at Casa do Corim, providing an open space for experience-sharing and knowledge exchange. Among the day's highlights were workshops organized by VivaLab and the Embroidery Circle workshop, which became a true moment of learning, sharing, and socialising. Additionally, and in celebration of International Women's Day, the talk "Power in the Feminine”, led by Cais, was held.

One of the major highlights of the event was the Swap Market, organized by Let’s Swap, which was once again a great success. Participants had the opportunity to exchange clothing and books, encouraging more conscious and sustainable consumption.

Once again, the event fostered a warm and welcoming environment, allowing participants to explore the space and the various activities it promotes. A particular standout was the exhibition "Identity and Heritage", under the theme "Corim with History(ies)”, part of the 6th edition of the "Collection Outside the Vault” showcase by the Municipality of Maia. Until March 30, visitors can explore a collection of works by artists from Maia that reflect the municipality’s cultural and historical essence.

Despite the weather conditions, the Open Day was undoubtedly a remarkable event, distinguished by its warm atmosphere and strong community participation—an engaged and sustainable community truly embodying the LIPOR lifestyle!

This initiative reinforces Casa do Corim’s commitment to strengthening its connection with the public and promoting its work, creating a space for engagement and sustainability awareness.

On April 12, Casa do Corim will once again host this initiative, continuing to open its doors to the community and providing enriching experiences for all participants.
