LIPOR Launches Opinion Barometer to Strengthen International Cooperation in Green Transition
As part of the IURC-LAC – International Urban and Regional Cooperation between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean project, LIPOR is developing an Opinion Barometer, an initiative within the Green and Just Transition Community of Practice (CoP), for which it serves as co-leader.
The main objective of this initiative is to gather the perspectives of opinion leaders and key stakeholders from the four participating regions—Greater Porto (Portugal), Valle del Cauca (Colombia), Chihuahua (Mexico), and Hunedoara (Romania)—on the key challenges, opportunities, and priorities related to the green transition, the circular economy, and sustainable development.
The Opinion Barometer consists of a brief questionnaire addressed to representatives from public administration, academia, the business sector, non-governmental organizations, and other entities that play a significant role in regional development and public policymaking.
The responses collected will provide valuable insights into the different regional contexts and help identify stakeholders’ perceptions of the challenges and opportunities associated with the green transition in each participating region.
The results will enable a comparative analysis of the four participating regions, highlighting both commonalities and differences in their approaches to the green transition and the circular economy. This analysis will serve as an important tool to support the activities of the Community of Practice, helping to identify opportunities for cooperation, knowledge sharing, and the development of future joint initiatives among the project partners.
Participation in the Opinion Barometer is entirely voluntary, and all responses are anonymous. No personal data will be collected from participants. The information gathered will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for statistical and comparative analysis within the framework of the IURC-LAC project.
Through this initiative, LIPOR reinforces its commitment to promoting international cooperation, innovation, and knowledge sharing among European and Latin American regions, contributing to the development of more sustainable, resilient, and forward-looking policies and solutions aligned with the principles of the circular economy and the green transition.
