LIPOR participates in the first meeting of the Circular Economy Thematic Cluster under the EU Cities Gateway initiative

The first meeting of the Circular Economy Thematic Cluster, under the EU Cities Gateway initiative, took place on 16 December. This programme aims to foster and strengthen relationships and cooperation between cities in the European Union, Canada and the United States, promoting the exchange of knowledge, best practices and the development of collaborative activities in strategic areas.

The session opened with welcome remarks from Colin Madock, team leader, and Monika Norkute, from the EU Delegation to Canada. This was followed by a presentation from the thematic coordinator and the participating cities.

Each partner introduced their team, outlined their motivation and expectations for the programme, and identified the main challenge or area of interest they intend to address within the field of the circular economy.

The next steps of the cluster were also defined, including a work timeline for the next six months. This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening cooperation in the circular economy.
