Group of 47 Erasmus+ young people visits LIPOR
As part of the Erasmus+ project "Youth & the City”, a group of 47 young people from the Czech Republic, Spain and Portugal visited LIPOR's facilities on April 2, at the invitation of the Municipality of Gondomar. The aim of the initiative was to raise awareness about waste management, the circular economy and urban sustainability, which are central themes of the European program.
The visit program included an institutional presentation by LIPOR, where the participants learned about the company's mission and projects in waste recovery. A visit to TAE - Automatic Packaging Sorting Line and a tour TO CVO - Organic Recovery Plant, where the young people observed the treatment of bio-waste and the production of "Nutrimais” agricultural compost.
This Erasmus+ exchange aims to promote active citizenship and environmental sustainability among young Europeans. During their stay in Portugal, the group also took part in workshops, debates and practical actions on sustainable urban development, in collaboration with local partners.
