Members of the board of directors of Nova CIMANGOLA visit LIPOR

A delegation from Nova Cimangola, Angola's leading cement company, an Angolan organization with over 60 years of history dedicated to construction and development in Angola, visited LIPOR's facilities on April 14th.

The purpose of the visit was to learn about best practices in waste management and sustainability, with LIPOR being a benchmark in waste management in Portugal. The main interest was in the use of waste as a fuel source, since the company produces, sells and exports cement, clinker, clay and limestone.

During the meeting, LIPOR presented its integrated waste management strategy, highlighting the circular economy model adopted by the organization. The Angolan delegation showed particular interest in the waste-to-energy projects and the reduction of the carbon footprint, topics that are in line with its environmental commitments.

One of the highlights of the visit was a visit to the Automatic Packaging Sorting Plant (TAE), where the Cimangola representatives were able to observe the advanced technological process for sorting and recycling materials.

This initiative marks another step in the sharing of knowledge between Portugal and Angola, strengthening cooperation for a more sustainable future.
