Brazilian delegation visits LIPOR as part of I International Benchmarking Sanitation & Waste Italy – Portugal

On May 6, LIPOR hosted a Brazilian delegation as part of the I International Benchmarking Sanitation & Waste Italy - Portugal, an initiative promoted by LAVORO with the aim of presenting European reference models in waste management and sanitation.

The visit allowed the Brazilian representatives to get to know the LIPOR System and its operational units, highlighting the technologies and management methodologies applied in waste treatment and recovery. This initiative aims to promote the exchange of knowledge and good practices, with a focus on the universalization of sanitation services, sector planning, governance, financing and environmental regulation.

The benchmarking program includes a series of technical visits, workshops and meetings with public and private institutions and companies in Italy and Portugal, allowing participants to get to know consolidated technologies and the main innovations in the sector.

LIPOR's visit reinforces the recognition of the Association's work in waste recovery and treatment, serving as an example of good practice at the international level.

This exchange of experiences is fundamental for the evolution of the waste and sanitation sector, contributing to the implementation of more efficient and sustainable solutions in different geographical contexts.
