LIPOR joins team for preparation of Manaus Strategic Plan

LIPOR will participate in the preparation of the Manaus Municipal Basic Sanitation Plan (PMSBM), as part of a multidisciplinary team of Portuguese and Brazilian experts and entities, who together are committed to quality of service and excellence in the delivery of a strategic document that will be the basis for the future management and strategic planning of Manaus.

This plan covers four areas: water, sewage, waste and drainage, and LIPOR will only be involved in waste management.

LIPOR team will be responsible for preparing the Waste component, with the mission of defining and preparing the Prognosis of the solid waste and urban cleaning aspect, which will be part of the PMSBM, working closely with the teams responsible for diagnosis, legal support, administrative support and communication.

As a result of its experience and know-how, LIPOR has appointed a team of professionals from the sector who will be its international consultants with the mission of defining the best solutions to be adopted in Manaus in the short, medium and long term. These solutions will be adapted to the context and reality of Manaus and will be the result of cross-referencing a variety of information - various bibliographies, statistics, characterization of the current situation (Diagnosis), projections and studies, good practices, European benchmarking.

FINATEC is the entity responsible for leading and coordinating the work, as well as playing a very important role in aligning all the parties, to speed up the work, reconcile efforts and ensure the uniformity and complementarity of all the parties developing the project.

A challenge that is expected to be completed by the end of the year!
