Adventure Park & Ecological Trail and Casa do Corim Gardens Awarded the 2025/26 Green Flag Award

On July 30th, we celebrated another achievement born of care, dedication, and the deep belief that nature can thrive anywhere. The Adventure Park & Ecological Trail and Casa do Corim Gardens, two green spaces managed by LIPOR, were honoured with the 2025/26 Green Flag Award, an international seal of excellence awarded to high-quality public green spaces.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Adventure Park & Ecological Trail has been recognized for its exemplary management, a true symbol of regeneration: a former landfill that, since the 1990s, has been transformed into a refuge for biodiversity and environmental education, between Valongo and Gondomar. Here, more than 50,000 visitors per year learn, explore, and experience nature, rediscovering the value of every square meter. And this year, it reached a historic milestone: more than 500,000 visitors since its inauguration.

Casa do Corim Gardens, now recognized for the second time, represent a new chapter in this same story: a restored space, cared with purpose, where biodiversity flourishes in the heart of the city. Managed by LIPOR since 2022, these gardens are part of our biodiversity promotion strategy—which we call Side B.

More than just an award, the Green Flag Award is an international validation that we are on the right path: regenerating, educating, and inspiring. Recognition is based on eight demanding criteria, evaluated annually by a network of international judges.
