LIPOR actively contributing to the development of The Strategic Waste Management Plan for Manaus

LIPOR delivered this week important deliverables to support the advancement of the Strategic Waste Management Plan for Manaus, within the scope of the ongoing international service provision.

In addition to the technical review of the Diagnostic Report and the current Solid Waste Master Plan of Manaus, LIPOR’s approach also included the identification of challenges and bottlenecks in the existing solid waste management and urban cleaning system in Manaus, the identification of improvement opportunities, and an assessment of service coverage in relation to the existing infrastructure and collection services. Key recommendations were also outlined to enhance the efficiency and optimization of the services.

The LIPOR International – Global Waste Management team has been highly active throughout the implementation of the Project, assuming coordination of the activities related to waste management and maintaining close contact with the Brazilian team on the ground, who are carrying out fieldwork and local engagement.

This Project has very ambitious deadlines, with the next deliverables scheduled for September.
