GIRS-Rating advances with the support of LIPOR International

LIPOR International – Global Waste Management continues providing services to the IDB – Inter-American Development Bank, with the delivery of another project milestone: the Tool Assessment and Validation Report.

The IDB is developing a tool for municipal solid waste information management, designed for municipalities and regions across Latin America and the Caribbean. The aim is to evaluate regional performance in terms of sustainable waste management, while also enabling monitoring of progress over time.

This tool combines both quantitative and qualitative assessment across different parameters. A wide team of experts are working towards a common goal, with individual and corporate experiences proving highly valuable in refining the tool. LIPOR’s team of specialized consultants, drawing on their expertise within LIPOR, are making a strong contribution to its optimization. LIPOR’s WAYSTE platform serves as an inspiration and an excellent case study for this project.

The tool is intended to be useful, intuitive, and reliable in its results, ultimately supporting the development of the waste sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
