LIPOR present at the ISWA World Congress

The World Congress of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) is considered the leading event in the solid waste management sector. This year it will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 27 to 29, and LIPOR has once again been invited to participate.

The ISWA World Congress includes high-level plenary sessions, as well as technical visits and a cultural and social program where waste management professionals, government officials, industry leaders, policymakers, scientists, and young professionals come together to exchange views and ideas, with the goal of advancing scientific and technical knowledge for sustainable solid waste management.

In this context, LIPOR is scheduled to take part in the event Too Good to Waste: Structuring Circular Projects for Waste Management and Methane Emission Reduction, in Session 1: Applying GIRSRating: From Assessment to Continuous Improvement, with a presentation entitled "Regionalization Schemes: Strategies to Scale Waste Management and Circularity” by Dr. Fernando Leite, CEO of LIPOR.

LIPOR will also be represented with the presentation of a poster entitled "Food Waste Valorization and Emissions Reduction: LIPOR’s Local Anaerobic Digestion Experience” by Susana Abreu, Head of LIPOR’s International Business Division.

In this way, another step will be taken towards fulfilling the Association’s mission — "To promote and develop sustainable and professional waste management worldwide and the transition to a circular economy” — strengthening LIPOR’s contribution to knowledge sharing and to the advancement of innovative and sustainable management practices.
