LIPOR participates in the European Union City’s Gateway Programme

On 13 November, the kick-off onboarding webinar for the European Commission’s IURC Cities Gateway project took place, in which LIPOR will participate during the 2025–2028 period.

LIPOR is the only Portuguese entity selected to join this European "City’s Gateway” programme, which connects cities from Europe, Canada and the USA. LIPOR will be working specifically within the Circular Economy Thematic Cluster.

The initiative aims to promote international cooperation in four key areas: nature-based solutions, circular economy, urban and digital innovation, and affordable housing.

The programme brings together 28 cities, including Dublin, Barcelona, Greater Porto (LIPOR), Atlanta and Toronto, among many others. LIPOR’s participation positions Portugal at the forefront of the global discussion and implementation of sustainable urban solutions.
