New identity for the Citres Project defined

LIPOR International – Global Waste Management took part in the completion of another significant milestone within the CITRES Project – Integrated Centre for Solid Waste Treatment and Collection on Maio Island.

The visual identity of CITRES represents a strategic step to reinforce communication coherence, increase the Project’s visibility, and ensure alignment with the benefits and objectives intended for sustainable waste management and the circular economy on Maio Island, Cape Verde.

The aim is to associate the Project with a shared image, aligned with the local language and dialect, to bring the community and citizens of Maio Island closer to the initiative. The belief is that, through positive and appealing communication elements, it is also possible to foster and strengthen the sense of belonging to a Project that is by everyone and for everyone on the island.

This identity will be applied across the various activities of the Project, including communication materials, events, reports, and digital platforms, promoting greater visual and communication harmonization and strengthening the public and institutional perception of CITRES, both nationally and internationally.

On Maio Island, two billboards and a promotional roll-up for the Project have already been installed. Soon, the official CITRES Project website will also be launched, representing another essential tool for dissemination, awareness-raising, and transparency for all partners and communities involved.

CITRES – Integrated Centre for Solid Waste Treatment and Collection on Maio Island – is a Project funded by the European Union and CAMÕES, I.P., with LIPOR participating as an implementing partner and waste management specialist. The Project has been under implementation since 2024.
