Success in Tomiño

The advisory project for the Municipality of Tomiño, in Galicia – Spain, was completed at the end of 2025.

The project had two main objectives:

To support the definition of the implementation model for a door-to-door separate waste collection system, covering all households in the municipality;
To define the digital monitoring model for the waste collection systems.

To achieve these objectives, support was provided in preparing applications for funding — all of which were approved — as well as in the development of the subsequent public procurement procedures.

The implementation of the projects will take place in 2026. LIPOR has expressed its interest in continuing to provide advisory and technical support during the implementation phase and in making its waste management platform (WAYSTE) available for this purpose.
