Mobile Recycling Drop-off site: a journey that collected more than 39 tonnes of recyclables in 2025
The journey of the Mobile Recycling Drop-off sites continued across the 8 LIPOR Associated Municipalities, strengthening proximity to citizens and promoting good environmental practices. In 2025, citizens delivered a total of 39.221 t of waste to the Mobile Recycling Drop-off sites, actively contributing to the proper routing of materials that should not be placed in regular waste bins.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste (WEEE) remained the most collected stream, totaling 14,747 kg, followed by contaminated packaging (11,231 kg), ink cartridges and toners (4,676 kg), bulbs (3,293 kg) and non-packaging paper (2,577 kg). Batteries also stood out, with 2,231 kg collected, along with other specific streams such as cork stoppers, CDs and DVDs.

To ensure that the materials are properly recycled according to the unique characteristics of each material, LIPOR developed this solution in partnership with its Associated Municipalities, guaranteeing that all waste accepted at the Mobile Recycling Drop-off sites is given an environmentally appropriate destination. Since January 2021, this service has enabled citizens to recycle waste conveniently and close to their homes.
This journey towards building Sustainable Communities continues. Follow the location of the Mobile Recycling Drop-off sites and make recycling part of your (and our) lifestyle.
