LIPOR launches home collection service for items in good condition
LIPOR is launching a home collection service for items in good condition. Integrated in the operation for the delivery of Items in Good Condition, this project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and reinforces LIPOR’s commitment to sustainable resource management and the effective promotion of the circular economy.
The operation for the delivery of Items in Good Condition emerges as a response to a critical need in contemporary society: sustainable resource management and waste reduction. Through this initiative, LIPOR proposes an effective and innovative approach, creating an ecosystem where citizens and organizations can actively contribute to the reuse of goods, extending their lifespan and preventing functional items from being prematurely sent for waste treatment.
Since 2025, this operation has been in place with the delivery of goods in dedicated containers available at the Drop-off sites of Águas Santas, Cal, Formiga, Laúndos, Silvalde, and Varziela, allowing contributions from both individuals and organizations. With the launch of the home collection service, LIPOR expands the reach of the initiative, facilitating citizen participation and strengthening the connection between reusable goods and their return to households before being considered waste.
Accepted items include decoration, kitchen, storage/organization, furniture, office, lighting, baby/child, and garden items, provided they are in good condition and suitable for reuse. They must meet criteria related to conservation, functionality, safety, and hygiene, which will be verified during the service request and at the time of collection.
Excluded from this service are clothing, footwear, refrigerators, stoves, electrical and electronic equipment - namely heating devices, washing/drying machines, computers - and mattresses. Vintage items may be accepted upon evaluation.
The home collection service will be carried out by appointment via mobile phone: 910 076 870. More information is available on LIPOR’s website.
