"Recycling is Giving More and Receiving the Future". LIPOR continues its campaign to boost recycling
LIPOR and its eight Associated Municipalities are presenting the extension of their environmental communication and awareness campaign, under the motto "Recycling is Giving More and Receiving the Future", with the aim of mobilising citizens and communities for a collective and ongoing effort to increase the recycling of Plastic and Metal, Glass, and Paper and Cardboard.
At a time when the European Union has set ambitious targets, 65 % recycling of municipal waste by 2025 and 70 percent by 203, Portugal faces significant challenges. Stagnating performance indicators, combined with insufficient results in critical materials such as glass, place the country below the packaging recycling targets established.
In this context, this new phase of LIPOR’s campaign emerges as a call for conscious and participatory action. Grounded in an inspiring and mobilising vision, the campaign reinforces a central idea: the more consistent we are in recycling, the more we give to the planet, and the more we receive in quality of life and future.
There is a growing desire to drive change. A desire that does not rest but moves forward. We believe that transformation begins with recycling, by involving everyone in our communities in a genuine commitment to the future.
Aimed at citizens of all ages, the initiative recognises the increasing interest in themes such as sustainability and social responsibility, while also identifying opportunities to improve recycling practices, particularly in the correct separation of waste. The campaign therefore invests in communication that is close, positive and accessible, valuing the sense of community and showing that it is possible to recycle without too much effort.
With a presence across digital media and public spaces, the campaign will be activated through an integrated online and offline strategy, including social media, urban furniture and other local communication platforms.
Recycling is more than a gesture. It is a commitment to the future.
