Between markets, nature and community, there is a whole month to experience the LIPOR lifestyle.

Some months feel different and May is one of them. There is a lot happening here and everything invites a closer look at nature. That is why LIPOR presents a programme where biodiversity, sustainability and community life take the stage.

LIPOR Garage Sale

The Garage Sales open their doors on 2, 6, 13, 20, 23 and 27 of May, with second hand items that get a new opportunity.

More than a market, it is a space for buying second hand objects where reuse becomes a natural gesture and where each piece has a story waiting to continue.

Open Day at Casa do Corim (9 May)

On 9 of May, Casa do Corim opens its doors for the Open Day, an afternoon planned for the whole family.

"There is Night at Corim – International Museum Day" (18 May)

On 18 May, Casa do Corim marks International Museum Day with "There is Night at Corim”.

A night time experience that invites visitors to explore the space between light and shadow, revealing new perspectives on the heritage and surrounding landscape.

"Interwoven Nature" – an exhibition that connects tradition and innovation through Rendas de Bilros (Bobbin Lace) inspired by nature

"B Side, the Biodiversity Side" – a look at ecosystems that flourish where least expected

"Offline Space" – a screen free refuge that invites you to slow down, read, play and simply be

A Day that Changes Everything (23 May)

On 23 May, "A Day that Changes Everything" brings together several initiatives in a single moment:

Garage Sale
Flea Market, by SPOT
Repair Café (textiles, toys and computers)

A day dedicated to the circular economy and sharing, on Rua das Macieiras in Ermesinde.

Corporate Event | Food Sustainability for Employees (29 May)

On 29 May, LIPOR Academy hosts the "Corporate Event | Food Sustainability for Employees", aimed at companies. An opportunity for organisations to understand, in practice, how the Academy can contribute to their ESG strategy.

The workshop combines a practical and strategic approach, helping organisations integrate sustainability principles into their operations.

A whole month to explore biodiversity

Beyond the events, May unfolds into a continuous programme dedicated to Biodiversity, where different initiatives invite people to observe, learn and act.

Alongside the Bioblitz and the Talk at Corim, highlights include the Bioblitz at the Adventure Park and Ecological Trail (30 May), the Walking Rivers walk along the Rio Tinto (16 May) and awareness initiatives such as the hedgehog adoption campaign.

There is also time for reflection at the meeting "Businesses and Nature: An Essential Relationship”, promoted by GRACE with LIPOR’s participation (28 May), reinforcing the role of organisations in protecting ecosystems.

At LIPOR’s Adventure Park and Ecological Trail

Beyond the scheduled events, May invites a more continuous discovery of the Adventure Park and Ecological Trail, where sustainability is lived outdoors with time, curiosity and a lot of play.

Here, every visit can be different:

Guided Visit Circuit – Automatic Packaging Sorting
Creative and scientific activities such as "Nerdy Derby” and "Dead Wood, Full of Life”
Plus spaces designed for slow enjoyment: nature integrated mini golf, picnic areas, rest zones and even a small educational farm with animals

More than a park, this is a place to experience nature without rushing.

More than a full agenda, May at LIPOR is an invitation to take part and observe, to reuse, repair and learn. Each initiative reinforces an essential idea: small choices can have a greater impact than we imagine.

May does not end here. There is room for new discoveries and growing projects.

Casa do Corim continues to establish itself as much more than a house. After all, it is more than that…

And there are new developments on the horizon: the opening of the School of Nature, a new step that promises to strengthen this connection and deepen the way we learn from the environment around us.
