LIPOR welcomes Brazilian Delegation from the National Front of Mayors
On 11 September, LIPOR welcomed a delegation from the National Front of Mayors (FNP), Brazil.
The visit once again focused on solid waste management, a topic that continues to generate significant interest among Brazilian municipalities.
The session began with a presentation on the LIPOR Integrated System, followed by a Q&A session in a spirit of knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences.
After the theory came the practice. The delegation took part in a technical visit to the waste Drop-off Site, followed by visits to CREW – Electrical and Electronic Equipment Repair Centre, TAE – Automated Packaging Sorting Facility, and the Composting Centre (CVO).
The visitors represented several Brazilian states: Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Pará, São Paulo and Pernambuco. This diversity further enriched the event and the exchange of experiences.
Through initiatives such as this, LIPOR reinforces its role as an international reference in waste management, keeping its doors open to the sharing of knowledge and best practices, while strengthening the ties between Portugal and Brazil.
