LIPOR international strengthens its presence in Africa with new service provision in Angola
LIPOR International – Global Waste Management has launched a new service provision in Angola, as part of a strategic international cooperation project aimed at contributing to the transformation of the waste sector in the Province of Luanda.
The "Project to Support the Modernisation of the Solid Waste Management Value Chain and the Adoption of a Circular Economy Model in the Province of Luanda” aims to modernise waste management in Luanda, promoting the adoption of circular economy principles and creating the conditions for greater private sector investment, thereby contributing to a more efficient, sustainable and socially inclusive sector.
Funded by the European Union, the consortium, led by Expertise France, also includes Camões, I.P., FIAP (Fundación para la Internacionalización de las Administraciones Públicas) and IFC (International Finance Corporation).
As part of its international specialised technical consultancy activities, LIPOR is acting as Camões, I.P.’s technical expert, contributing to the strategic objective of strengthening the formalisation of the sector and opportunities for decent employment in municipal waste management, while also incorporating a gender equality perspective. LIPOR’s mission also includes working with the target group of waste pickers.
For this project, LIPOR has mobilised a team of sector professionals from its own staff, who are taking on roles as international consultants, providing specialised technical support in the field of integrated waste management and contributing to the development of solutions tailored to Angola’s specific context and reality.
With this new service provision, LIPOR International – Global Waste Management further strengthens its presence on the African continent and consolidates its role as a specialised technical partner in the transformation of waste management systems, putting its experience and knowledge at the service of international cooperation projects and the development of more sustainable solutions tailored to the needs of each territory.
Always contributing to building a better world!
