Gondomar municipality and LIPOR install new equipment for the selective collection of food waste

From August onwards, the process of raising awareness among residents of around 14,000 households in the municipality of Gondomar will be underway.

A total of 229 street containers with conditioned access and an electronic user identification system are being installed for the selective collection of food waste and will be serving around 35,000 inhabitants.

Each household will be given a small brown bin and an electronic key to open the conditioned access street container.

We keep contributing to environmental sustainability by increasing the amount of materials collected for recycling and organic recovery.
