LIPOR publishes Integrated Report 2021

LIPOR's Integrated Report reinforces the Commitment of LIPOR's highest Governance Body to Responsibility and Transparency towards our Stakeholders, and is especially addressed to them.

The Report contains financial and non-financial information, regarding the year 2021, marking 18 consecutive years of publication of LIPOR's Sustainability Reports and Annual Reports. Furthermore in the last 3 years we have already published LIPOR's Integrated Report.

The Integrated Report provides information on our Strategy and approach to the different Capitals (Industrial, Financial, Natural, Human, Intellectual, Social and Relational), based on the pillars of our Sustainability Agenda, analyses the external context, the main risks inherent to the activity and includes information on the Financial Statements and the Performance in the main ESG dimensions - Environmental, Social and Governance.

We recovered 537,592 tonnes of urban waste, converted 182.4 ha of areas of low biodiversity value into areas of high biodiversity value, invested 1,518,397.37 euros in the community, provided 9,601.5 hours of training to our employees, launched 4 new products on the market, received 5 international proposals approved for projects abroad and ended 2021 with a positive net profit of around 3.7 million euros, which will be reinvested in the development of various projects.

In line with the best and most recent "reporting" practices, the Integrated Report 2021 was prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and in matters of Sustainability in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative. This Report has been prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards: Essential Option (GRI).

The Financial Statements presented were expressed in accordance with the provisions of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as adopted in the European Union.

In order to ensure the reliability and veracity of the data presented, the Sustainability information contained in LIPOR's Integrated Report 2021 has been duly subjected to independent external verification, for a limited assurance level of reliability, by PricewaterhouseCoopers & Associados - Sociedade de Revisores Oficiais de Contas, Lda, having been sent to the Board of Directors the External Verification Statement and the License of the Standard A1000AP (2018).
