Today we already serve 184,000 citizens of Lipor's eight municipalities with selective door-to-door residential collection

In the first half of 2020 and in the residential door-to-door selective collection areas, we received 6,222 tons of materials (paper, plastic and glass) delivered for recycling (27.7% more than in the first half of 2019) and 849 tons of bio-waste (558 tons of food waste, 58.3% more than in the first half of 2019 and 291 tons of green waste, 65.7% more than in the first half of 2019). These increases represent a further 1670 Tons of recyclable waste compared to the previous period, which demonstrates the importance and convenience of this project.

Thus, even with all the problems caused by the COVID pandemic19, Citizens fulfilled the objectives of increasing the recycling of their waste, thus avoiding the unnecessary consumption of virgin raw materials.

These values are the result of the strong investment and the bet that LIPOR and the associated Municipalities have developed, with a view to increasing the amount of materials to be sent for recycling.
