We associate "more Biodiversity" with the 4M climate change strategy—less Waste, less Carbon, more Climate, more Biodiversity—by increasing the promotion of biodiversity within our activity context. Learn more about 4M.

We reinforce our commitment by renewing our observance of Act4Nature Portugal, an initiative of BCSD PT, and by defining individual action commitments for the period 2023-2024. Learn more about this commitment here.

For the fourth consecutive year, LIPOR's Adventure Park & Ecological Trail have been awarded the Green Flag Award. This recognition is an international benchmark of quality attributed to public green areas. The Award acknowledges LIPOR's pioneering strategy, dating back to the 1990s, of transforming a former landfill site into an Adventure Park & Ecological Trail, located in Ermesinde (Valongo) and Baguim do Monte (Gondomar). This infrastructure welcomes over fifty thousand visitors every year to explore and enjoy green spaces while learning about waste and biodiversity.

The gardens of Casa do Corim have also received this recognition. The gardens of Casa do Corim, another green area managed by LIPOR since 2022, belonging to the Municipality of Maia, have been builded with the rationale of promoting biodiversity, one of the Organisation's strategic pillars.
