Metro Quadrado Program is still alive and well four years later

We proudly announce the incredible results of our Nature and Biodiversity Conservation project, financed by the Environmental Fund - Metro Quadrado Program - carried out in 2019!

After 4 years of hard work and dedication, we are thrilled to share the testimony of the success of our interventions and techniques applied in the areas covered had.

Previously, the areas were densely infested with invasive plants, Hakea and Acacias, posing a threat to local biodiversity. However, thanks to our collective effort, we transformed these places with lush native vegetation.

Today, we are delighted to note that maintenance is minimal, with almost no invasive sprouts. This is a evidence of the teamwork, the power of perseverance and knowledge in action. This is a work that cannot be done alone, so we would like to thank the Associação Parque das Serras do Porto and the Municipality of Gondomar for all the support provided.

In developing this project, we learned a lot in terms of the techniques used over time and we are committed to continuing to replicate them in different locations, promoting the conservation and restoration of our landscape and precious nature.

Once again, thank you to everyone involved in this project and we will continue to work tirelessly to protect and preserve our Forest and future generations.
