LIPOR joins the 14 new companies from the North that have joined the OERN Pact

The OERN Pact for "Quality and Valorization of Engineers’ Work” was once again signed up on March 18th, by 15 new companies that join the initial 11 of this project.

In this second edition of the OERN Pact, the companies CEiiA, Centro de Estudos do Património, Conduril, Jayme da Costa, JFA Engenharia, KEO Portugal, LIPOR, PPSEC, PQF Engenheiros, Proef, SEVENFORMA, Tabique, Tykhe, VHM e Vialsil participated in this second edition. thus to the initial subscribing companies A400, ACA, BIMMS, Casais, Dourogás, Efacec, GEG, Infraspeak, Mota-Engil, Painhas and Sopsec.

The signatory companies are committed to improving the job opportunities for Engineers, as well as increasing conditions for personal, social and professional development, bringing a real change in the current professional context of Engineering.

At the moment there are 26 reference companies in the North of the country that, with the Order of Engineers – Northern Region, are committed to the objectives that this pact aims to achieve.

  • Increase Engineers’ salaries;
  • Guarantee the execution of Engineering acts by Engineers specific to the exercise of the profession and in accordance with qualification levels;
  • Provide a healthy and safe working environment;
  • Encourage stable employment contracts;
  • Promote opportunities and diversity in the working conditions of Engineers;
  • Develop an employee training and development program;
  • Professionally integrate Engineers based on a skills development plan;
  • Hire recent graduates from national higher education schools under conditions superior to those defined in public support programs;
  • Encourage the return of Engineers who work abroad;
  • Promote responsible sustainability practices.

Through this Pact, the OERN wants to bring together companies, with headquarters and influence in the Northern Region from various sectors of activity, that will assume a voluntary commitment, in response to the current employment framework for Engineers, framed in a process of changing paradigms in the society and public recognition of Engineers.

The OERN Pact is open to all companies with headquarters and influence in the North Region that intend to subscribe and be part of this movement.
