Safety and Health

As provided by law, LIPOR has organized occupational safety and health services, with the following aims:

• Identifying dangers, assessing risks of different work places and defining necessary control measures;
• Identifying applicable legal requirements and evaluating legal compliance;
• Preventing accidents;
• Preventing emergencies;
  
• Contributing towards the safety culture improvements (training/communication);
• Continuous improvement of labor conditions;
• Promoting health monitoring, as well as the maintenance of clinical registers and other informations relative to each employee.

LIPOR's Occupational Health and Safety Management System is certified by ISO 45001:2018, and is implemented in the following areas/activities:

• Reception of urban waste for recovery and sorting of materials from selective collection;
• Management of operational contracts for the treatment infrastructures;
• Training, communication and environmental awareness services;
• Design, production and marketing of sustainable products resulting from waste management operations.
