The selection of Target Markets was based on a set of pre-defined and clearly identified strategic prerequisites.

The revision of Target Markets happens every two years.

Currently the Target Markets are:

PALOP (Portuguese-Speaking African Countries) 
Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, S. Tomé and Príncipe

Gana, Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast

Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay and Trinidad and Tobago

CPLP (Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries)
East Timor
